Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how FreshFridge collects, uses, and shares information when you visit freshfridge.lol, submit a company, click a placement, or complete checkout. It should be read together with our Terms of Service.

Who is responsible

FreshFridge is responsible for the personal data processed through the Service. Privacy requests can be sent to contact@freshfridge.lol.

What we collect

• Visitor data, including a locally stored visitor identifier used for live visitor counts and basic abuse prevention.
• Checkout and placement data, including the company name, submitted URL, bid amount, Dodo checkout/session identifiers, payment confirmation status, and timestamps.
• Public destination metadata, such as favicon, title, and description fetched from the submitted website.
• Click data, including the placement clicked, time, and basic request data used to count outbound clicks and reduce abuse.
• Technical data, such as IP address, user agent, referrer, logs, and error data processed by hosting, database, analytics, and security providers.
• Messages you send us, including notices, support requests, complaints, or privacy requests.

Payments

Payments are processed by Dodo Payments. We do not collect or store full payment card numbers. Dodo may send us payment status, checkout identifiers, amounts, and related confirmation details so we can create or update placements.

Cookies and local storage

FreshFridge may use local storage for a random visitor identifier and browser preferences such as theme. These are used to operate the Service, show visitor counts, and keep the interface usable. We do not use these identifiers to sell advertising profiles.

Why we use data

• To provide the Service, process checkout, and display placements.
• To rank placements, count clicks, show public stats, and operate the fridge.
• To prevent abuse, fake clicks, fraud, spam, and security incidents.
• To debug outages, improve performance, and understand aggregate usage.
• To respond to support, legal, moderation, and privacy requests.
• To keep accounting, tax, dispute, and compliance records where required.

Public placements

Company names, ranks, bid amounts, destination URLs, fetched metadata, click counts, and placement activity are public. They may be viewed by anyone and may be indexed, copied, archived, or shared by third parties. Do not submit a placement if you do not want that information public.

Who we share data with

• Dodo Payments for checkout and payment confirmation.
• Supabase or other database providers for placement and bid storage.
• Upstash Redis for cache and visitor-count functionality.
• Vercel or other hosting providers for serving and securing the site.
• Umami analytics if analytics environment variables are configured.
• Professional advisers, authorities, or a successor operator where required by law, dispute handling, enforcement, or project transfer.

We do not sell personal data. Some providers may process data outside your country. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards offered by those providers.

How long we keep data

• Public placement records remain while the placement is part of the Service.
• Payment identifiers and amounts are kept as needed for tax, accounting, fraud, chargeback, and dispute records.
• Logs, click records, and visitor-count data are kept only as long as useful for operation, debugging, security, and aggregate reporting.
• Support and legal correspondence is kept as needed to respond and maintain a record of the issue.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal data, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, or lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To make a request, email contact@freshfridge.lol. We may need enough information to locate your data and verify the request.

Children

FreshFridge is for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has used the Service, contact us and we will delete the data we can identify.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy when the Service, providers, or law changes. The date at the top is the current version. If a change is material, we will post the updated policy on this page.
